Upstate New York; Towns That We Love, a new book by Barton and Elizabeth Cockey will be available in August at Union Village Ltd. The book is an illustrated (with paintings by Elizabeth) history (text by Barton) of the countryside in upstate New York. It takes the reader through the history and scenery of a place like no other, featuring six local towns that played an important role in the Battle of Saratoga and the turning point of the American Revolution. The reader will become acquainted with the lives and times of the people who live there now and who lived there in days gone by. The towns featured are: Cambridge, Greenwich, Salem, Schuylerville, Easton, and Saratoga. Boxed notecards and framed art prints will be available in addition to the beautiful book.
